Mount Saint Mary's Men's Basketball News

When Mt.St.Mary's Men's Basketball surprising season ended to a loss in the NEC Championship Game vs. LIU-Brooklyn, Coach Jamion Christian and his staff needed to get started on focusing for the 2013-2014 season. Mt.St.Mary's have sent our several offers to potential basketball players to come play basketball at the small mountain school. The Mount as they are called on campus have already received 2 commitments for the upcoming season, with 2 open scholarships left from the departures of Soph. Kelvin Parker and Junior point guard Josh Castellanos. Castellanos will graduate a year early and will play 1 more basketball season at another University, as for Parker he fell out of favor early in the season until his minutes picked up during conference play, he will be missed for his EXCELLENT 3-pt. shooting. In the meantime The Mount have a commitment for the 2014-2015 season in Marshall transfer Chris Martin. Chris Martin was a highly regarded player out of nationally know St. Patrick's HS. in New Jersey, once eligible Martin will have 2 seasons to contribute in a Mountaineer uniform. We have came upon some interesting news as CIT invites are leaking info. out in regards to bids for the CIT Tournament. It is a 32 Team Tournament and as of today 11 known teams have accepted. I spoke to a CBI Tournament official and that tournament (16 team College Basketball Invitational) would not leak info out, until selection Sunday.

Teams as follows with Overall Record, Conference Record and Conference being represented. I will also supply each teams RPI and Strength of Schedule numbers.
