CAA School Towson has a Great Recruiting Class for 2012-2013

Nobody would have blamed Pat Skerry and his staff at Towson for being happy with what they'd already done recruiting in the class of 2012.

But, Skerry and his staff are a greedy bunch and Thursday they pulled a major score by landing a commitment from 6-foot-1 combo guard Jerome Hairston.

A native of Salem (Va.) who is attending Arden (N.C.) Christ School, Hairston is the #114 player in the class of 2012 RIvals150 for good reason.

Creative off the dribble, he's an excellent pull-up jump shooter with deep range. A willing creator for others, Hairston would have been a major target for point guard starved high majors had he taken his recruitment into the spring.

Hairston joins a class that already includes tough point guard Frank Mason and intriguing power forward Barrington Alston.

  1. I sure hope Towson gets straightened out. I went to a few of their games when I was in Hanover. I do not think that Skerry is the right guy for the job though. They are supposed to having a new arena soon I thought. The other arena was already nice, they didnt need one. I got to see VCU there when they had one of my favorites- Eric Maynor, when Grant was coach!
